September 21st, morning. Turn 12.
30 Corps pushing the Germans back from Hell's Highway. Guards Armoured closes on Veghel just as 107th Panzer Brigade arrive and try to push the defenders back, but a determined defence see the paratroopers and guardsmen hold on.
The SS are having no luck in ejecting 1st British from the Arnhem bridge. Pressure is applied on 82nd and SS units are bypassing Arnhem to swing opposite Nijmegen.9
Turn 13. 30 Corps and 101st reserves push around 107st Panzer Bgde and try to push them back from the outskirts of Veghel. On the right, German paratroopers are pushed out of Asten and are withdrawing towards Helmond.
1st British Airborne dig in at Oosterbeck and at the bridge, deeper than an Alabama tic to quote from Predator. 82nd hold Nijmegen and a perimeter around the Waal bridge as well as a foot hold at Grave.
There is little between Grave and Veghel once 30 corps get in gear.
Turn 14 night. 107th Panzer Bgd take losses and is held in place unable to withdraw. On the left, German infantry withdraw towards s'Hertogenbosch.
SS and Wermacht infantry close in on 1st British Airborne and around the 82nd at Nijmegen.
The Veghel-Grave gap, 30 Corps have bridges to try and cross at Grave.
Just 6 more game turns, 2 days of battle.
