20mm Taliban Britannia and Elheim

I'm off to Dungworth at the end of March for Crisis Point 2015, to represent the Andreivian Turks in their fight for control of the fictional Black Sea country.  So, here are some additional reinforcements and specialists for use in the game.

First up, these are the additional Britannia crew figures from 4 AA Dushkas.  I've used the HMGs for technicals, so these can be used to crew them if they dismount or alternatively they can be used as leaders for our gallant freedom fighters.

This is an Elhiem wheeled carriage Dushka with crew of three.

Four Elheim dickers or IED trigger men.  These should do as spotters for air or artillery, as well as to trigger IEDs and mines.

I ordered a mixed pack of insurgents from Elhiem and was pleasantly surprised to get this nice mix of weapons, with 2 RPG figures, 2 PKM or similar, 4 AK-74 and 2 LMGs with bipods.  These will help to fill out some of the volunteer units in the street fighting for the capital.

An Elhiem insurgent sniper figure.

Some nice figures.  Those from Elhiem will mix in well with the Taliban and Chechen fighters that I have from Britannia and Underfire Miniatures, plus I got them in the Christmas sale - bargain.

  1. Looking good Andy, though not as good as your modern Marines ;)

Can't wait to see them on the table.

  2. Thanks Jack. Got some more Marines on the painting table at the moment, in both 15mm and 20mm. Should get some pictures posted soon. The big game will be at the end of March, so should have some photos posted of them in action soon after. If I'm lucky, I might be able to squeeze a practice game in at the club before that, depends what everyone else wants to do.

    Cheers, Andy

  3. Big game at the end of March, with maybe a practice game before!!??

You've got to go smaller brother, it'll help you get more games in! I'm just joking of course, and making light of the fact that part of the reason I get so many games in is because I'm my own gaming partner.

Sometimes he aggravates the hell out of me, but we never fail to have a game when I feel like it ;)

  4. Thanks Jack. Sadly, between the day job and my 6 year old, time for solo play at home is limited. I manage to get a pass once a week on a Thursday to get down to the club for a game and fit in an occasional day at the weekends for a bigger/longer game (these are always fun). Any spare few minutes of me-time seems to be slapping paint on some bare metal.

Based on the KG Klink battle reports, your opponent seems to be putting up a pretty dogged defence at times. Does he buy his own beer?

    Cheers, Andy

  5. I understand about the lack of me-time, though I've been taking a bit too many liberties lately (I've got three kids, a baby, 5-yr old, and 8-yr old). The little time I foresee getting this weekend is all for basing/painting.

My opponent needs to learn to cut me a little slack, roll over every now and again ;)

    Jack
